Applicable ethical rules

The practice of law is governed by the French National Internal Regulations of the legal profession (RIN), available on the website of the French National Bar Council (CNB): www.cnb.avocat.fr

Professional secrecy and confidentiality

Lawyers in France are bound by professional secrecy under the applicable legal, regulatory and ethical rules.

Information submitted to the firm is treated confidentially. However, sending a message through the contact form or by e-mail does not, by itself, create a lawyer-client relationship or constitute the firm's acceptance of a matter.

Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties except where necessary to process your request, where you have given your consent, or where disclosure is required by law.

Lex-Ava Legal Assistant

Lex-Ava is currently temporarily unavailable.

When available again, Lex-Ava will provide general legal information and explanatory guidance based on French public sources, including Légifrance, together with an artificial intelligence tool used to assist in drafting and summarising responses.

Lex-Ava does not replace legal advice or a personalised legal consultation.

Its use does not create a lawyer-client relationship and does not constitute acceptance of a case by the firm. For any specific legal matter, including deadlines, litigation, contracts, legal strategy or risk assessment, users are invited to schedule an appointment with the firm.

Users should not submit unnecessary personal data, confidential or sensitive information, or information protected by legal professional privilege through Lex-Ava.

Responses may be incomplete or unsuitable for a particular situation and should be verified using the cited legal sources and, where appropriate, supplemented by advice from a qualified lawyer.

Lex-Ava may evolve over time and may, where appropriate, be connected to additional public or open-data sources in compliance with French law and applicable regulations.
